NT complaints bodies
- Anti-Discrimination Commissioner - handles complaints about discrimination under the Northern Territory Anti-Discrimination Act 1992.
- Children’s Commissioner manages complaints about services provided to vulnerable children in the NT.
- Community Visitor Program – handles complaints and provides advocacy for people receiving treatment under the Mental Health and Related Services Act 1998 and the Disability Services Act 1993.
- Consumer Affairs – handles complaints about faulty goods or services and tenancy or residential building disputes.
- Information Commissioner – handles complaints about Freedom of Information and Privacy under the Northern Territory Information Act 2002.
- Ombudsman NT - investigates and resolves complaints about Northern Territory Government agencies, local government councils and Police conduct.
- ICAC NT – handles complaints about wrongdoing related to public administration in the NT and provides for the protection of whistleblowers.
Commonwealth complaints bodies
- Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission – receives complaints about quality of care and services in relation to the Aged Care Quality Standards.
- Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency – responsible for implementing the National Registration and Accreditation Scheme across Australia in partnership with the 15 National Boards. Manages complaints about health practitioners registered with a National Board.
- Australian Human Rights Commission -investigates complaints about discrimination and human rights breaches.
- Commonwealth Ombudsman – responsible for complaints about private health insurance and complaints about Australian government agencies.
- Office of the Australian Information Commissioner – manages complaints about privacy and freedom of information with agencies not regulated by State and Territory regulation (for example Commonwealth government agencies and GP practices).
- Medicare Australia – manages concerns about over servicing or the incorrect use of item numbers.
- NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission – Manages complaints about NDIS funded service providers.

- Disability Advocacy Service – disability advocacy for people living in the municipalities of Alice Springs, Amoonguna and Tennant Creek.
